I am writing to thank Collision Authority, and more specifically Rod Mort, for the wonderful service I received in April of this year on repairs to my Volkswagen Jetta.

I was very apprehensive about going to an auto body shop in Las Vegas, as I have had very negative experiences in the past; however, on the recommendation of a colleague, I decided to take my car to your establishment. I have to say that I was more than pleasantly surprised by the friendly staff, timely repairs, and more specifically, the outstanding communication Rod Mort provided.

From the moment I walked in the door, Rod was nothing but helpful, courteous, and kind. He walked me through every step of the repair process and explained everything in a thorough and careful manner. Dear Ms. Dessaints:

In July 2007 I brought my Honda to your shop for repairs. At that time I met DC Baker and your shop foreman. DC gave quotes and estimated time to complete the repairs. To my surprise, he met the goals of time and money. The work done was excellent. I then had a problem with the signal light on the side your shop repaired which turned out to be a loose light bulb socket. Your shop fixed it within ten minutes of me arriving and no charge to me. Recently the front tires developed a vibration I thought might be related to the re-alignment of the front end completed as a part of the repairs in July. It turned out to be due to tire wear and your shop solved it by rotating the tires; again no charge and inside of 20 minutes.

In my entire life I have never had such a proactive, let’s-get-this-problem-fixed attitude in an auto repair shop. Your team there are fantastic, especially DC. He actually remembered my name after 4 months. I congratulate you on your team and especially the attitude prevailing in your shop. While this kind of atmosphere starts with the leaders at the top, it takes staff members like DC to make it happen. Please convey my regards to DC. He is a master at public relations and therefore projects exactly those qualities a company must demonstrate to the public to be the best.

Again, I congratulate you on your staff. Please see that a copy of this letter is placed in DC’s personnel file for his annual review.

In a culture in which professionalism and service have become verbiages utilized only to attain business, my recent experiences with Gary Brousseau were a refreshing experience. As the “bubble” in our economy continued to inflate, respect and consideration for the consumer took a ‘back seat’. Now that the whole of the world wide economic picture has deflated, business in general have not gotten the message. “It’s the consumer, Stupid.” The attitude that in order to be successful the populous needs only to be supplied with goods and services at a more competitive price will do nothing more than prolong the present economic morass and the subsequent ‘Bear Stock Market’.
